Jordan
Hello everyone… My name is Jordan. I am majoring in Biology on the Pre-Med track. I am from a small town by the name of Thomson, Georgia. Growing up I rarely saw any young African-American males pursue a degree in STEM. This was part of my motivation to join this ACCESS Lab. I want to be able to learn about ways to increase equity and opportunity for students in STEM education in my hometown and all over the world that are underrepresented. While being here at UGA, I have been a member of Doctors without Borders, Minority Student Science Association, and Georgia Daze Xtension. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, playing video games, going to church, and looking at movies. In the future, I plan to continue to fight for equity for minorities, and I hope to one day provide adequate health care for rural communities all over the world.
